pixels

the man in the suit with the high repute's

talking dollars and dimes, he's talking falls and climbs,

he's talking about trade, about how to get paid

and though you hear his tirade

you know he's just made of pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and he's trying so hard to be admired

but he can count his coins, he's missed the point

the man on the news declaring his views says

"you see me on your tv and so you believe me"

you see just how he's crazy for power

he can chase success

but he's just a mess of pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and he can make his speech to please the rich

but his fine career will still disappear

the man with the gun he twirls on his thumb says

"you're looking at the future, however much you're

dying to beat me you'll never defeat me"

but what does he know?

it's easy to show he's just pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and when you've heard enough of this behemoth

you can call his bluff, you can turn him off

the man on the screen, neat and clean, says

"you're gonna wanna buy this, you gotta try this

new machine, it's the latest thing

it's the best design"

but i think you'll find it's just pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and he's bound to fail to make his sale:

his worldly goods are no earthly use

the man with the crown high looking down is

talking ancient rulers, what a fool is

he to think you could ever sink

so low, he's gotta know

he's only pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and he's out of touch by just so much

it's hard to believe he can live and breathe

the man with the cross is praying for us

he's talking dark and light, he's talking wrong and right

he's trying to turn you straight, he's trying to make you hate

and it's happened before,

so i thank the lord he's just pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and when he feigns to beckon you to heaven

from his white sepulchre, you can smell the sulphur

the man with the time to find a rhyme

sings the acidic song of the critic

but no one'll fear him when they hear him

'cause even now

he's breaking down into pixels

lighter than air - pixels

and when darkness comes, as come it must,

ashes to ashes, dust to dust
