hummingbird

i have a little hummingbird

she’s the one i love best in the world

she take me everywhere she go

i follow her in ice and snow

she say she love me too, and i say woo hoo

i better hide my hummingbird from you

i’m gonna hide my hummingbird from you

well she the quickest thing i know

i guessing other birds like flying slow

her eyes are open bright and wide

early in the morning, late at night

yeah, she got me hopping on my toes, lord knows

i better hide my hummingbird from you

gonna hide my hummingbird from you

some like an eagle that soar high above

some make a peaceful nest with a collar dove

others swear by the grace of a swan

seem to me they got nothing going on

well if my hummingbird will say the world

i’ll keep her in my heart till death us two do part

i love my hummingbird, i’ll hide her away from you
