feel the sun

well here i go, starting over

i have no plans to live in clover

i’ll just breathe the air, drink the water, feel the sun

now i don’t want fancy clothes to hide in

just my guitar, a pen for writing

i wanna breathe the air, drink the water, feel the sun

i feel how fresh the air blows

the water’s sweet like cherry wine

the sun shines warm upon my skin as i dive in

you can take my house and all that’s in it

you can take my money - go on and spend it

if i can breathe the air, drink the water, feel the sun

well here i am - you know where to find me

all my troubles i put behind me

and i’ll breathe the air, drink the water, feel the sun

when i thought i’d died, slain in battle

all that had fallen was my shadow

now i breathe the air, drink the water, feel the sun

i feel how fresh the air blows

the water’s sweet like cherry wine

the sun shines warm upon my skin as i dive in

if i take a train, i’ll ride the rails

catch a boat, i’ll raise the sails

and breathe the air, drink the water, feel the sun
